Mary D. Byron currently is Asia regional head of the Technology Division at Goldman Sachs Japan Co., Ltd. She joined Goldman Sachs in Telecommunications Support in 1989 and worked in Fixed Income Network Systems Administration and Fixed Income Systems Support in the early 1990s. Ms. Byron later managed the firm’s global computer networks, as well as global computing infrastructure for FICC in the Technology Division. She was co-head of Enterprise Technology and then global head of the Divisional Systems business unit until 2005, when she moved to Japan. She was named managing director of Goldman Sachs in 1999 and partner in 2006.
Ms. Byron received her BA from Marquette University. Ms. Byron serves as treasurer of the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation. She also is on the Corporate Advisory Board of Inwood House, a leader and innovater in youth development, teen pregnancy prevention, and family support.
