Henry Fung

Henry Fung serves as Program Associate at the Maureen and Mike Mansfield Foundation. He is responsible for the development and implementation of the Foundation's China programs, including exchanges, conferences and policy dialogues, as well as other Asia-focused programming.
Prior to joining the Mansfield Foundation, he was a research assistant at the John L. Thornton China Center of the Foreign Policy Studies Program at the Brookings Institution, where he conducted analytical research and edited publications on topics including U.S.-China cooperation on climate change, China’s energy policy, Chinese leadership politics, and Chinese academic discourse on the prospect of democratization in China.
Mr. Fung’s experience implementing education exchange programs includes serving as faculty advisor at the Congressional Youth Leadership Council and National Youth Leadership Forum and as program coordinator at the University of California-Irvine’s International Center. In these positions he facilitated numerous education conferences and served hundreds of students and scholars from all over the world.
Mr. Fung holds a Master of Pacific and International Affairs degree from the Graduate School of International Relations and Pacific Studies at the University of California-San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of California-Irvine. Born and raised in Hong Kong, he reads and writes Chinese and speaks Cantonese and Mandarin.
